Big Americans

No, not an entry on obesity but on the BBQ Chicken pizza currently in my oven. Although I do wonder how obesity can be blamed on food when I eat 'unhealthy' grub and drink plenty of alcohol all the time while exercise is not in my dictionary and my 9-5 doesn't offer body movement either.
Apparently having a fast digestive system is a sufficient argument for a slim body at all times. But obesity couldn't possibly be genetic? Bollocks. Therefore, a big nay from me to Anglosphere fat taxes.

Hearty snack

Read this sentence for me, will you?
So, I guess, just as a warning, if you order a vegetarian pizza, make sure it comes without Kapers.
Excuse me? Sure, I might be a hearty snack, but I'm delicious! Of course Samantha actually meant capers (capparis spinosa), which aren't too bad in my opinion when you put them on a bagel with salmon and cream cheese. But what a sentence.. I love Canadians who can't spell properly.
I was eating it with Arden, and I found one and didn't know what it was and we made fun of the little Kaper for a while. And I squished it and all this juicy stuff came out.
Seriously. Despite the "little" remark this just cracks me up.

Pepperoni Pizza

Philip Rodrigues hits an interesting topic on Planet KDE:
Learning (by experience) that 'pizza peperoni' in German does *not* mean the same as 'pepperoni pizza' in English :-)
I wonder if a RFC on pizza toppings would be appropriate for the Internet society. A lack of standards on terms such as salami, pepperoni, peppers and jalapenos has confused and annoyed many by now. Semi-reliable work-around: if pizza places don't offer a deep pan option, don't trust the ingredients.
